Military homes

Sometimes, living on a military base just doesn’t cut it. Between the shoddy internet, the unreliable shopping experiences and the lack of support groups for some military spouses, many military families are finding it easier to move off base and into military home rentals. If you’ve ever been in the military or near a military base, you are familiar with military housing for rent.

These homes allow the freedom for the spouses and children of military personnel without the restrictions of on base living. Military homes are usually provided for the families of personnel and are placed in the residential areas of a military base. These military housing units are controlled by the rules on base and are not conducive to visiting family members. However, the in the areas surrounding military bases there is a wide variety of military home rentals that are easy to find through base contacts or through a military housing website.

One of the many benefits of military homes for rent is the amount of freedom that a family will find. Non military friends and family can visit without the constraints of base rules and regulations. Military rentals are also free from the constraints of a lease, due to the issue of relocation at the drop of a piece of paper and an order from a superior. This is also a reason many do not consider military home rentals.

Military home rentals are also popular in an area where there isn’t room on the base for housing. The Coast Guard, for example has had to get pretty creative in finding military home rentals for their personnel that is still affordable. Affordable is another key when looking into military home rentals, with a controlled income that’s usually only one source, military home rentals are often times cheaper than ordinary rentals in the area. In some areas, it’s a percentage of pay that constitutes rent and in others, it’s a flat but low rate every month.

More often than not, another benefit of military home rentals is that the utilities are included in the price you pay for rent or they are handled by the military altogether. This is a small factor that saves many military families quite a bit of money. If you’re tired of living on base, maybe it is time for you to consider military home rentals.
